This is one of the customs practiced by the Malays of Sarawak during their wedding. The men will take the axe that was sealed with a yellow cloth. Axe will be handed to the bride.

What is interesting is that this ship of delivery will be done by two fighters (we called them pesilat), one each from the male and the other by the women. So, will persist, some battle axes in the delivery of this event later.

Among the rational delivery of axes is as a symbolic place that "axe" is one of the tools used by the Malays in the past to search for food.

Although the modern world it is no longer using an ax as a tool to find things, but the concept remains the same ie the husband responsible for his livelihood after they married.
